Introducing Money Movement

We are excited to announce Money Movement, Kirtland Credit Union’s newly updated Person-to-Person (P2P) and Account-to-Account (A2A) service! This newly updated service is completely FREE (no fee per transaction) and is a secure, convenient, and flexible way to help you manage your finances.

P2P services have taken the world by storm. According to eMarketer, the total value of P2P transactions increased from $156.49 billion to $244.03 billion from 2018 to 2021. P2P services like Venmo, Zelle and Cash App have become widely popular due to their easy and convenient way to transfer money to a friend or family member.

Why should you use P2P?

Picture this scenario: You borrow $7.75 from a friend and when it’s time to pay them back, you have to pull out your wallet, take out your cash and scrape together what you owe them. Then on top of this, your friend will need to deposit that money back into their account — or you could make a secure P2P transfer from your Kirtland CU mobile app in seconds.

Skip the hassle and jump on the P2P train.

Money Movement Highlights

Here’s just a few of the great benefits you’ll have access to when using Money Movement:

  1. Security & Safety Checkpoints

A problem with many mobile app P2P services is that they are susceptible to fraud.

Kirtland CU’s P2P and A2A service is exclusively for our members and not made public, leaving less of a chance for a scammer to take advantage of you.

For example, when you send money to a friend or family member, they will need to enter your shared, secret password. This keeps your accounts secure!

  1. Schedule your transfers

You can easily select which day you want to send your transfer or what day it will be delivered! Is a friend’s birthday coming up soon? Set up a transfer in advance so you don’t forget later.

  1. Keep all your contacts in one place

No need to go searching for phone numbers or email addresses — they’re all in one place! Input your contact’s information and when it’s time to transfer, just choose the contact you want to transfer to.

Let's get started!

Money Movement is user-friendly and can be set up in minutes. Visit kirtlandcu.org/mm23 to access and download our easy-to-follow Money Movement User Guide.
