Kirtland Federal Credit Union Announces New President/Chief Executive Officer

Matt Rarden has been named President/Chief Executive Officer at Kirtland Federal Credit Union.
 
“After a comprehensive search process, we know that Matt is the right executive who has the experience to guide Kirtland Federal Credit Union in continuing to provide outstanding member service and towards future success. We are looking forward to seeing the credit union flourish under Matt’s leadership.” said Brian McDonald, Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
 
Rarden began his career in financial services in the early nineties, working at Wachovia, then Wells Fargo. Following that, he moved into the information technology space working for several Fortune 500 companies, such as IBM and Convergys where he held various finance, operational, and executive management roles. Currently, Rarden will be joining Kirtland Federal Credit Union from Premier Members Federal Credit Union in Boulder, Colorado where he served as Chief Operating Officer for over six years. Additionally, Rarden served on the Premier Members Credit Union Board of Directors as Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and several other roles, as well as serving as the Supervisory Committee Chairperson and Member from 1997 until his employment with the credit union in 2014. Rarden holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado, and a Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
 
When asked about his new position, Rarden stated, “I am eager to join and help lead the Kirtland Federal Credit Union team. The credit union has a great history and exemplifies what being a community-focused financial services business means.  I am confident we will be able to continue its legacy of success, community involvement, and superior member service.”
