Kirtland Credit Union has been named 2025 Member of the Year by the Greater Valencia County Chamber of Commerce (GVCCC), recognizing the credit union’s continued commitment to community engagement and economic growth throughout Valencia County.

The award was formally announced during the GVCCC Annual Gala on Saturday, January 3, where business and community leaders gathered to celebrate organizations making a meaningful impact across the region. The Member of the Year honor reflects Kirtland Credit Union’s ongoing support of chamber initiatives and its leadership presence within Valencia County.

“This recognition is incredibly meaningful to our entire team,” said Matt Rarden, President and CEO of Kirtland Credit Union. “Valencia County has been an important part of the Kirtland Credit Union story, and we’re proud to continue investing in relationships that strengthen this community. Being named Member of the Year by the Chamber reinforces our belief that showing up locally matters.”

Kirtland Credit Union has maintained a strong presence in Los Lunas and across Valencia County, supporting local efforts that encourage connection, collaboration, and long-term stability. The credit union’s Los Lunas Branch serves as a key point of engagement under the leadership of Karla Garcia, Los Lunas Branch Manager, who was also recently named President-Elect of the Greater Valencia County Chamber of Commerce.
